Registration Instructions

Online registration is a simple process (just follow the prompts and keep clicking Next!), but you are finding it difficult and would like a step-by-step walk-through, follow the instructions below.

IMPORTANT: Please note that each attendee MUST have a unique email address to register. Your email address is your primary identifier and it is linked to your individual record.

Page 1: Attendee Information

Enter the following information for the person you are registering:

  • First & Last Name
  • Email address (this is where we will send your confirmation)
  • Individual type (veterinarian, technician, etc.)
  • State of residence
  • If you are registering on behalf of someone else, check the box and fill in your information. You will receive a confirmation email and be able to access the registration to make changes, if needed.

All information on this page is required to proceed.

Page 2: Personal & Contact Information

If the registrant is already in our database (OVMA members, previous attendees, etc.), the system will pre-populate the information we have on file. Please check to make sure it is correct; any changes made will update the individual's permanent record.

Personal Information

Please fill out the nickname field with your preferred name (it may be the same as your first name or different), which will appear on your badge. The other fields will populate with the information we have on file or the details you type on the previous page.

Professional Information

This section is for veterinarians only and allows us to send only information relevant to your area of practice.

Contact Information

You must provide a mailing address to receive your confirmation packet and badge in the mail. If you leave this section blank, or it is out of date, you will not get a packet prior to the MVC.

Communication Preferences

This section will show the mailing lists you are subscribed to, if any, and how you prefer us to communicate with you. If you would like to change how you receive MVC information, please denote your preference in this section. By default, we contact you by postal mail.

Page 4: Member Dues & Registration Type

Join or Renew OVMA Membership

If you would like to join the OVMA or renew your membership, available membership options will be shown here. Select your desired option, or leave "None" selected to bypass membership purchase.

Note: If you select a membership item, the registration fees will automatically adjust to the OVMA member rate.

Registration Type

The registration options available for the registrant will be displayed. Select the appropriate option and click Next.

Note — Hospital Staff Passes: If you are purchasing a Pass ONLY (i.e., not registering any individuals), select the Hospital Staff Pass option. If you are registering individuals AND purchasing a Pass, first register the attendees; you will be able to add a Pass later.

Page 5: Session/Lab Registration, Hospital Staff Passes & Donations

Session Registration

The sessions available for the selected registration type will be shown.

  • Search for and add attendee’s selected sessions. You may search for sessions by typing a session number in the box at the top, or click “Advanced Search” to narrow the search.
  • In Advanced Search, use the Category drop-down to search for a track. You may also search by speaker name (alphabetical by first name) and date/time.
  • To add a session, you must click "Add to Agenda" to the right of the session name. Wait until the page reloads before continuing. To make sure you added all the selected sessions, click the link next to the search box at the top. (# Items in Agenda)
  • Wet labs and workshops are listed under the "Hands-On Labs" category.

Note: Registering for sessions is optional but strongly encouraged. Doing so provides a record of your continuing education should you need it for audit purposes, as well as allowing the OVMA to make appropriate room assignments to accommodate attendees. You may change your selections if you change your mind.

Additional Items

Hospital Staff Passes. Type in the number of Passes you wish to purchase and click "Add Item."

Charitable Donations. If you would like to make a contribution to the 5 for 5 for the Future program, enter the amount of your donation and click "Add Item."

Page 6: Guest Information

If attendee is bringing a guest, click Add Guest. If not, click Next to continue.

  • Select registration type (Spouse/Guest).
  • Enter guest’s first and last name.
  • If you would like to send your guest's badge to a different address (other than the one you have already provided), please enter it here. Otherwise, check the box next to "Copy address from primary registrant."
  • Add in an email address to send your guest a confirmation; otherwise it will be sent to you.
  • Type in your guest's emergency contact (optional).
  • On the next page, select the appropriate registration type for your guest (one day or full).

Page 7: Registration Summary

Review your selections to ensure they are correct and continue to submit your payment.

  • If you need to make changes, click the Edit link next to the section that needs to be edited. The yellow box at the top of this page contains instructions for how to make changes.
  • If everything is correct, click "Finished Adding People."

Page 8: Payment

Enter the credit card information and billing address, agree to the MVC's Terms and Conditions, and click "Finish" to submit your registration.

 

Group Registration

Follow the instructions shown in the "Individual Registration" section for each attendee. When you reach the Registration Summary page, you may:

Add attendees: Click "Add Person" on the Registration Summary page. Repeat the process for each individual.

Add a Hospital Staff Pass: On the Session Selection page for any attendee, you may add Passes to your order under the "Additional Items" section.

IMPORTANT: To register multiple attendees, each individual must have a unique email address.

The process is the same as shown above in the "Individual Registration" section, with a few differences to note:

  • Page 1: Attendee Information — Enter the main contact person's (such as a practice manager) information here. Please note, this person will NOT be registered for the MVC. A unique email address is required.
  • Page 4: Member Dues & Registration TypeSkip member dues section; select "Hospital Staff Pass" as the registration type.
  • Page 5: Session Selection — Under "Additional Items," type in the number of Passes you wish to purchase and click "Add Item."

Continue to the payment page to enter your credit card information and submit your order.
