During this excursion, attendees will tour the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s recently renovated 17,000-square-foot veterinary hospital, including its treatment and diagnostic facilities, research lab space, and animal holding areas. The tour will conclude with a Q&A period with the hospital's staff, comprised of three American College of Zoological Medicine diplomates, three technicians, and a veterinary resident. Following the tour, attendees will have time for a walking tour of zoo grounds, much of which remains open in February.

Veterinary professionals who have received rabies pre-exposure vaccination and are at continued risk of exposure should get their titers tested every two years. ARCpoint Labs of Columbus will be on site to provide this service on Friday and Saturday, and no appointment is needed. The fee is $75 for a rabies antibody screen or $95 for rabies antibody endpoint testing; payment can be made in cash, credit card, or check payable to ARCpoint Labs.

The OVMA recently conducted a survey of Ohio veterinarians and technicians in an effort to better understand the current shortage of vet techs many practices are facing. In this special event, members of the task force will share the survey results, discuss solutions, and answer questions. A light breakfast will be available for the first 100 attendees.

Individuals who miss advance registration will be able to register on site during these hours:
Attendees will be able to plug in and charge their smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other devices at charging stations located throughout the venue.
ARCpoint Labs of Columbus will be on site to provide titer testing on Friday and Saturday. Payment is due at the time of service and can be made in cash, credit card, or check payable to ARCpoint Labs.
Located just outside the Exhibit Hall south entrance, this is a place where attendees can take a break to relax, recharge their devices, and catch up with colleagues.
There is a private room designated for nursing mothers equipped with comfortable seating, electric, and various supplies. Mothers who would like to store their equipment or need access to a refrigerator during sessions may use the OVMA staff office. Stop by the Attendee Assistance counter to inquire.

Please note, the MVC does NOT offer on-site child care.
The MVC will offer complimentary beverages throughout the day, and visitors will also be able to purchase lunch right in the Exhibit Hall during the midday break.
Attendees are invited to post and browse employment opportunities and for-sale listings on the Community Bulletin Board, located just outside the Exhibit Hall. Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis; MVC personnel are not available to set up displays or post jobs. Those who would like to use this service should bring their own supplies to post their listings.
Please note, the MVC does not provide dedicated private interview space, but attendees may set up small informal meetings amongst themselves in the common areas using the networking feature of the mobile app.
