The app works on Apple and Android devices and can also be accessed in a web browser.

How to Download

We recommend downloading the app from the invitation email, which is sent to all registered attendees once the app goes live. This is the easiest way to ensure the app links to your personal record and registration details.

1. Make sure you are viewing the email from the Apple or Android device(s) on which you'd like to install the app, and then tap "Download the App."
2. Once the app has downloaded, return to the email and click "Verify Account."

If you cannot find your invitation email, simply contact us to request a new one be sent to you.

The app can also be found by searching for "Midwest Veterinary Conference" in the Apple and Android app stores.

No, you can simply download this year's information. From the app home screen:

1. On the home screen, tap the three horizontal lines at the left corner of your screen.
2. Tap "Switch Event."
3. Search for the MVC by entering the event name.
4. From the list of results, tap on the correct event to add it to your app.

There is no password, but you will need to log in to access all the available content and features.

To protect speaker presentations and notes, we secure the event with a password so that only attendees can access these documents. If you are already registered for the MVC, please check your email for a mobile app download invitation, or log in to your attendee profile to find the password. If you aren't yet registered, you will receive the password in your confirmation email.

Important Reminders:

The database refers to the email address on your registration to identify you. Therefore, you MUST log in with the same email address you used to register, or the app will not allow you access to your personal registration. The easiest way to ensure the app recognizes you as a registrant is to log in using the email invitation. If you cannot find your email invitation, please contact us and ask to have your app invitation resent.

If you are accessing the app via a web browser, the process is the same, but the link to log in will be at the top right corner of the home page.

It is not necessary to log in to access the app and certain content. However, you will need to log in to the app in order to take advantage of the following personalized and interactive features:

• Set up your professional profile
• Create, edit, or access your schedule (If you added your sessions during registration, they will be automatically imported into the app once you log in.)
• Take notes during sessions
• Share photos in the app and on social media
• Rate sessions and speakers (during the MVC)
• Join the attendee list and message fellow attendees
• Access locked content, such as session notes
• Access your saved content (schedule, notes, bookmarks, etc.) on all of your devices that have the app installed

One of the best features of the mobile app is its networking capability! Begin networking with other attendees by first setting up your profile.

1. After logging in, tap the three horizontal lines at the top left corner of the home screen.
2. Tap on your name.
3. Fill out the text fields to give other attendees a sense of who you are. You can write a short bio, provide your contact information, or direct people to your website or social media accounts.
4. To add a profile picture:
   • On Apple Devices: Tap on the "Upload Image" button under the circle with your initials in it and select whether you want to upload a photo from your library or take a photo with your camera.
   • On Android Devices: After tapping on your name, click "Edit Profile Photo," then either select a photo from your gallery or take a new one with your camera.
5. Tap "Done" on the top right corner to save your changes.

Setting Your Profile to Visible

If you want to appear on the attendee list but still have control over who can see your full profile, you can set it to visible.

1. After logging in, tap Profile at the bottom of the screen, then your name at the top of the screen.
2. Under Profile Visibility, toggle to Visible.
3. Tap Done in the top right to save.

With this setting enabled, only your name, title, company, and photo will be displayed. You'll have to approve another attendee's contact request before they can view your full profile.

Hiding Your Profile Entirely

If you opt to hide your profile, fellow attendees will not be able to find you on the attendee list at all. Your profile will only be visible to attendees who accept your contact requests.

1. After logging in, tap Profile at the bottom of the screen, then your name at the top of the screen.
2. Under Profile Visibility, toggle to Hidden.
3. Tap Done in the top right to save.

On Apple Devices

1. From the home screen, tap Settings, then Notifications.
2. Find the MVC app on the list and tap on it to modify the settings.
3. From there, you may select whether you want to receive notifications and what kind of alerts you prefer.

On Android Devices

Be advised, not all Android phones are the same. The directions below walk you through the most common OS, Android 9.0.

1. Swipe down on the home screen, then click the gear in the top right.
2. Tap Sounds and notifications.
3. Scroll down and tap App notifications.
4. Find the MVC app on the list and select your desired preference, off or on.

Note: If you opt out of push notifications, you will be alerted to any new announcements when you open the app. These messages can be found by tapping the bell icon in the top right corner of the event guide.

IMPORTANT: In order to access or create your own personalized schedule, you MUST log in using the same email you used to register. This is how the system identifies you and links you to your registration. The easiest way to do this is to log in via the app invitation email. (See "Logging In" section, above.)

To view your schedule:

1. After logging in, tap the Schedule icon on the home screen.
2. At the top of the screen, tap "My Schedule." The sessions you registered for will appear here, organized by day. Tap the date tabs at the top to switch between days.
3. If you would like to export your sessions to your device's calendar, tap the download icon at the top right of the screen. A confirmation screen will appear. Tap "Export," and your schedule will be added directly to your device’s calendar.

To add sessions:

1. After logging in, tap the Schedule icon.
2. Browse the calendar to find sessions you would like to attend.
   • Switch days by using the date selector at the top of the screen.
   • Tap "Filter" at the top right to narrow down your selections to a specific track or speaker.
   • Scroll up and down to see all the sessions on a particular day.
3. Once you find a session you want to attend, tap the plus sign to the right of its name to add it to your schedule.

NOTE: If you do not see the plus sign, you are NOT logged in correctly. Log out and log in again using the same email you used to register.

To delete sessions:

1. After logging in, tap the Schedule icon.
2. At the top of the screen, tap My Schedule. The sessions you registered for will appear here, organized by day. Tap the date tabs at the top to switch between days.
3. Tap the minus sign next to any session you’ve added to your schedule to remove it.

Because the app links directly to your individual record, you MUST log in with the same email address you used to register in order to make changes to your schedule. In doing so, you are essentially modifying your registration, and a registration that doesn't exist cannot be modified!

Therefore, if you cannot add sessions to your schedule (i.e., there is no plus sign to the right of any sessions), this means you are NOT logged in correctly. Log out and log in again using the app invitation email. If you cannot find your email invitation, please contact us and ask to have your app invitation resent.

1. After logging in, tap the "Attendee Networking" icon on the home screen.
2. Type the name or keywords into the search bar at the top of the screen. Tap search to view the results matching your search.
3. Tap a name to open that attendee's profile.
4. Tap "Add Contact" to send a contact request, or tap "Message" to send a message.

1. Tap on the "Profile" icon on the home screen.
2. Tap "Contacts."
3. To export all contacts: Tap the square icon in the upper-right corner.
4. To export one contact: Tap on that attendee's name to open their profile and click on the square icon in the upper-right corner.
5. Confirm your export. Contacts will be saved to your device's default contacts application as part of a group named after the event.

To access session documents, open the desired session from the Schedule page and scroll down to the Documents section. Tap on the name of the PDF you'd like to view. You can follow along in the app or save the documents directly to your device for later reference.

Saving Documents on iOS:

1. Once the document loads, tap the export icon (box and arrow) in the top right corner of the screen to open an options menu. From there, you can:
   • Tap Copy to iBooks to save the PDF on your device;
   • Tap Mail to share it in an email as an attachment; or
   • Tap Print to print the PDF to any printer on the same Wi-Fi network.*

Saving Documents on Android:

1. Once the document loads, tap the three dots in the upper right-hand corner to open a pop-up window. Using these buttons, you can:
   • Send the file with your chosen email client;
   • Open it with a program of your choice;
   • Download the file to your device; or
   • Print it using any printer on the same Wi-Fi network as you.*

*NOTE: There are NO notes-printing stations on site at the MVC. If you would like to have a hard copy of your notes and/or presentations, please print them prior to the conference.

Although we strongly encourage speakers to share their notes and presentations with attendees, not all opt to do so. In other cases, a presentation may not be included because the file was too large to include in the app. The web version of the Conference Proceedings will always have every session document provided.

1. Tap on the "Schedule" icon.
2. Tap on the session you want to rate.
3. Scroll down to the Surveys section and tap on the survey to open it.
4. Enter your star rating and any comments, then click "Done" to submit it.

Simply tap the "MVC Evaluation" button on the home screen to rate the conference as a whole.
