The Midwest Veterinary Conference mobile app is a handy, fun and comprehensive guide for your MVC experience. Here’s how to get the app and make the most out of this year’s MVC!
Step 1: Search for/download the “Midwest Veterinary Conference” App for your device
Step 2: You will need to log in to the app using the email address and password associated with your MVC registration.
Step 3: Take the quick tutorial to see all the app has to offer.
Become familiar with the buttons at the bottom of your app to access your agenda, network/chat with others, and see unread notifications.
The full app menu can be opened by tapping the “three lines” button at the top left of the app, or by swiping from the left side of the app to the right side.
Step 4: Set up Your Profile & Turn on Networking
From the full app menu (upper left button), tap “Edit Profile” to add a photo and update information to make yourself easier to be found and connect with others. Remember to tap “Save” to lock in your changes.
You can also turn on “Networking” from the Settings menu to:
• Discover/be discovered by other attendees, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors
• Send/receive connection requests to/from other attendees
• Chat with your connections/contacts within the app
• Ask exhibitors and sponsors to contact you
• Complete challenges associated with the MVC Mobile App Game
Step 5: Build and Manage Your Agenda
Explore conference sessions by tapping the Agenda icon at the bottom of the app or “Sessions” from within the full app menu (top left button).
(1) Tap a session to view full details including, speaker, location, session documents, surveys and more.
(2) If you selected sessions when you registered, those will populate in “Your Agenda.” Add more sessions to Your Agenda by tapping the calendar icon next to the session title/description.
Note: Any changes you make to your schedule in the mobile app will be saved in your permanent registration record and be used to generate your CE certificate/transcript.
Be sure to take the survey after every session you attend to praise speakers or tell us how to improve for next year!
Step 6: Track and manage your CE Credits and Certificates
(1) The MVC mobile app tracks your CE Credits and allows you to manage, access and receive your CE Certificate and/or Transcript.
(2) Add sessions to Your Agenda by tapping the calendar icon with the session listing. Then be sure to click the blue “Participate” button to confirm your attendance for tracking purposes.
(3) Tap “CE Schedule” from the full app menu (top left button) to view sessions offering CE Credits.
(4) Download your certificate any time by opening the full app menu (top left button) and tapping “CE Certificates.” Then select Certificate (overall hours for the event) or Transcript (list of each session and associated hours), and follow the prompts to have your document(s) sent to the email you used to register for MVC.
(5) The certificate in your printed program may still be signed on-site at Attendee Assistance. Refer to your state’s/organization’s renewals requirements on what is accepted.
Step 7: Get in the Game!
Can you earn the title of “Pack Leader” by the end of MVC? Compete against your fellow MVC attendees to complete challenges, earn points, badges and awards throughout the conference!
Tap “Contest” from the full app menu (top left button), then tap “Enter Contest” to enable the MVC game.
Complete the Challenges found in the Contest section to earn points, climb the leaderboard, earn badges and more.
Challenges include:
• Using Networking to connect with attendees: Tap “Network” and invite others to connect with you. More connections = more points
• Attending specific MVC sessions: Add sessions to Your Agenda, tap to open them as you’re attending, and mark yourself as participating to get your points.
• Capturing QR codes in the Exhibitor Hall Scavenger Hunt: Find the exhibitors/booths listed in the Challenges. Use the built-in QR Code scanner (upper right button in your app) to scan the code at the booth to earn points
• Be among the top two point scorers by the end of MVC and you’ll earn a $250 gift card as a reward!

Know Where You’re Going
Tap “Map” from the main app menu (upper left button) to access interactive maps of the Exhibit Hall, and programming at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and Hyatt.
Find specific session locations on maps by tapping “Location” from within a session listing, or tap on a room on a map to see sessions that are held in that location.
Find specific exhibitor booth locations by tapping the booth number listed with a specific exhibitor, or tapping a number on the exhibit hall map to see the exhibitor at that location.
Speakers, Sponsors & Exhibitors
Find and learn more about speakers, sponsors and exhibitors by tapping “Network” at the bottom of the app or opening the full app menu (upper left button).
Speakers: Read speaker bios, see their sessions, and tap the + icon to add them as a connection.
Sponsors: Learn more details, locate them if they’re an exhibitor, connect on social media, download documents and resources, and tap to contact a representative directly in the app.
Exhibitors: Learn more details, find their booth, get company information, follow on social media, download documents and resources and tap to contact them directly in the app.
