How many hours of continuing education can I obtain by attending the Conference?
In-Person MVC. The majority of attendees can earn a maximum of 18 hours by attending the live, in-person MVC. There are additional workshops and seminars (such as the “Tech Savvy” panel on Thursday evening) that offer extra hours to certain registration groups.
Virtual MVC. The amount you may earn by participating in the Virtual MVC varies by state. In Ohio, veterinarians can earn 18 of their 30 hours online, and technicians may earn 6 of their 10. If you are licensed outside of Ohio, please check with your state’s licensing board to determine how many hours of online CE you can use toward license renewal and whether presentations need to be viewed live rather than pre-recorded. For additional information, please see the Virtual MVC section below.
Are MVC sessions RACE approved?
The Midwest Veterinary Conference is a preapproved provider of CE by the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board, and nearly all other state veterinary boards accept the OVMLB’s approval for their own state CE approval. (Texas is the known exception.) As such, we do not go through the RACE process and therefore are not RACE accredited.
Are MVC sessions approved by any specialty organizations?
Any additional approvals will be posted in the Education section as they become available.
How do I get my CE certificate?
Instructions for accessing your CE certificate will be emailed to you at the conclusion of the conference.
