Would you like to be more involved in the Midwest Veterinary Conference? Are you looking for an opportunity to connect with experts in your field, or a chance to impact the future of veterinary medicine? If so, the MVC has a variety of volunteer opportunities you can take advantage of.
As an MVC volunteer, you not only help execute one of the largest veterinary conferences in America, but you also will...
Please note, you must be a registered attendee in order to volunteer at the MVC, and signing up to moderate does not automatically register you for the Conference.
A Session Moderator (formerly Presider) serves as an "ambassador" to one or more speakers. Moderators introduce the speakers of their selected sessions using an introduction prepared by the MVC staff and, in the event of a problem, assist in locating appropriate staff to resolve A/V equipment or room issues.
How to Participate: Volunteer online after registering for the MVC.
Note: you will need an access code to enter the volunteer site. Refer to your MVC registration confirmation email for this password.
Give back to the future of veterinary medicine! OVMA Members from all disciplines of veterinary medicine are invited to participate in the fourth annual Connection Corner: Student/DVM Networking Event on Friday, Feb. 23.
Enjoy a complimentary lunch with veterinary students, followed by an hour of power networking, during which you can answer questions, discuss available internship or employment opportunities, and be a part of a valuable connection for students entering the veterinary profession.
DVM volunteers are encouraged to bring business cards; information on their organization, internship and employment opportunities; and any other materials that would introduce students to life as a veterinarian.
How to Participate: Sign up during registration (select event under "Special Events" category), or contact event coordinator Krysten Bennett.
